This three-day Wilderness First Aid Plus (WFA+) course is designed specifically for the overlanding and off-road community, giving you the skills and confidence to handle common medical emergencies in the backcountry.
Perfect for weekend adventurers, big-rig travelers, off-road drivers, hikers, and anyone who wants to be more prepared when heading beyond cell service.
This course meets or exceeds the standards of the Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative (WMEC), allowing participants to recertify with any WMEC-aligned provider.

You’ll train through hands-on instruction, realistic simulations, and practical, usable skills you can carry into every adventure.
What You’ll Learn
A comprehensive introduction to wilderness medical care, including:
- Primary & secondary patient assessment
- Wound care & infection prevention
- Stabilizing fractures, sprains, & soft-tissue injuries
- CPR considerations in remote environments
- Recognizing & managing common backcountry illnesses
- Heat, cold, dehydration, and environmental emergencies
- Anaphylaxis treatment, including use of epinephrine auto-injectors
- Evacuation planning & emergency decision-making
By the end, you’ll have the skills to assess, treat, and respond confidently when you’re far from immediate help.
