Progress Over Perfection

Progress over perfection.
Impact over size.
Grace over grind.

Since launching Fernweh Guided Expeditions in December, we’ve recently hosted back-to-back weekends filled with adventure, learning, and community—from the San Luis Valley in Colorado to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. We’re not chasing volume. We’re chasing meaning.

One guest—a 79 year old—looked at me after tackling some tough terrain and doing donuts on the playa and said: “If I don’t wake up tomorrow morning, I will have missed nothing.” At the end of the trip, he added, “I’ve enjoyed these trips… and I’ve gained a friend in you. Thank you.”

That’s the kind of impact we’re here for. And that’s why every mile, every meal, every moment matters.

As we look ahead, we’re evaluating:

How do we grow without losing soul?

How can we fine-tune our pricing model to reflect the depth of these experiences?

Should we partner with multiple non-profits/foundations or go deep with one?
I started this journey just a few months ago, and already I’m blown away by
what’s possible when you build with intention.

If you’ve been part of it already—thank you.
If you’re watching from afar—stay tuned.

And if you’ve built something of your own or wrestled with similar questions—
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
